BRIDGE SUCCESS,LLC - Providing services and support to children, parents and schools
After many years of serving children in the public schools, we have opened the offices of BRIDGE TO SUCCESS LLC.  This venture was developed five years ago to support children struggling at school for a variety of reasons.  The aim was to forge collaborative efforts between home and school on behalf of those students’ success.  Since its inception, I have retired from the public school system, and am now ready and able to devote mytime to expanding this practice.

Roni Kramer, Educational Director BRIDGE TO SUCCESS LLCRoni Kramer is recently retired as the Director of Special Education in the Mamaroneck School District.  Ms. Kramer received a BA in Psychology, a MA in Special Education and her 6 year certificate in School Psychology from New York University. She obtained her School District Administrator certification through a program at The College of New Rochelle. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of School Neuropsychology and is currently the owner and Educational Director of Bridge to Success, LLC, an Educational Testing and Consultation firm. She has been working as a school psychologist and/or special education administrator for the past 30 years. Ms. Kramer has established Pre-k to 12 grade programs for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as Integrated Co-Teaching programs in each district she has worked in over the past 21 years. She was responsible for the development of programs, provision of services and supervision of teaching and professional staff.

She has seen services to students move from isolated parts of school buildings to be part of general education classes with the same curriculum and learning expectation for all students. Her work in Mamaroneck during the changes in federal and state laws and regulations allowed her the opportunity to expand her expertise in core curriculum and the demands on students, particularly those with special needs. Working closely with general education and special education teachers, she provided staff development to teachers to help them make the necessary modifications and provide the additional instruction required to meet the learning needs of a wide and diverse range of students.  She brought in Eileen Perlman, the co-writer of Preventing Academic Failure (PAF) to train special education, general education and reading teachers. She also provided opportunities for teachers to be trained in Linda-Mood Bell, Wilson, and Reading Plus. She conducted several professional development workshops on Co-Teaching, IEP Development and Writing Measurable Goals, Executive Function and trained school psychologists and special education teachers on a variety of diagnostic assessments. As an adjunct professor at Brooklyn College she taught the Special Education courses required for general education teachers to obtain their Special Education Extension Certification.

Ms. Kramer has also worked with parents by extending SEPTA groups in the schools to have an active and participatory role in the development of programs and services for their students with special needs.  This reinforced the importance of including parents in the educational decisions recommended and implemented for their children. It resulted in developing the philosophy of Bridge to Success to ensure that parents and schools are working together.
In her ‘retirement’ she continues as an Adjunct Professor in a Graduate Program in Special Education and is a Clinical Supervisor for Special Education student teachers.  She provides consultation to school districts on various topics and has audited the special education departments for some school districts.

She is looking forward to this next chapter in her life where she can share her expertise to continue to help children obtain the best possible education no matter their academic, social-emotional or physical challenges.
